When was the last time Ashland beat Ironton by 41? Anyone have a stat for that?

Jaws team was last shutout 35-0. 1966 Ashland beat them 42-0. 1942 Ashland beat them 84-6.

If I am ANYONE, against Ashland, and I watch any film on them at all, I am loading the box and play man until they show signs of a passing threat. Its just not their. But, for what its worth, the only thing between them and BG, imo, is the exact same way, maybe a bit more consistent. Baker is enough to win alot of games, kid is that, darn, good. Cut and dry. Just a sidenote...he gained like 20lbs of muscle AND shaved a second off his 40 time. Thats insane.

To be totally honest Ashland was not real good up front last night and Baker made some incredible runs. If Ashland can continue to play defense at a high level they will have a chance to win every game.

If he keeps churning out the yards and if some of these other schools see his highlight tape he may end up somewhere else than Marshall. Whoever said Baker was better than Damien Harris I agree, especially because he's going to continue to get stronger. Also it's hard to tackle what you can't catch

To be totally honest Ashland was not real good up front last night and Baker made some incredible runs. If Ashland can continue to play defense at a high level they will have a chance to win every game.

 

I think they were pretty good Ironton had 8-9 in the box and Baker is just that good let him get the handoff and not have someone hanging on him they are doing their job

I did and Harris was a more complete back. Baker is faster, but Harris blocked better and was more of a pure running back than Q is. Baker gets by on his shear atheleticism, Harris could pound inside, go off tackle or stretch it outside. Baker needs a crease and he is gone, but imo, Harris was better.

Agree 100% but it's hard for 5 or 6 to block 8. Ashland would be very good without Baker but with him they are a title contender.
