Can someone please explain something to me? I am not taking anything away from Q's ability and regaurdless of recent events, my past run ins with he and his dad have been nothing more than enjoyable, humble and respectful. Ive notice he likes to talk a bit more than he did on the field, but tbh, i have no problem with that as long as it doesnt go too far. But here is my question.

 

How in the name of Vince Lombardi is Ashland not attempting PATs from the 15 or not kicking off from the opponents 45 after each time Q scores? Seems there is a spike, bowling ball roll, or complete stop and a little shuffle of some sort.

 

I also noticed in the Raceland/West Carter game that Alex Niece picked up Kane Snyder and hoisted him in the air. Have the rules changed on celebration?

He's had a couple of unsportsmanlike penalties called on him this year after TD.

He has always been humble and respectful, but on the field this year, he has seemingly bought into how good everyone KNOWS he. Kid is incredible, but his attitude isnt what it has been in the past, hate to see that.

I'm not positive, but am pretty sure he had an excessive celebration penalty in the Ironton game. The game was a done deal at that point so it didn't bother me, had the game been close though it would have been a selfish move on his part.

 

To be honest I think it's a stupid rule. As long as the kids aren't taunting their opponent or fans after a score I see nothing wrong with a lil shuffle. But aa rule is a rule.

The refs will be flagging him all year they're going to keep their eye on him. Let the kid get fired up, as long as it's not in the face of another kid let them celebrate.

Yeah that's pretty much what I thought too. His back was to me so I couldn't really tell exactly what he did, but it looked like he pointed at the student section or raised his arm like you said. Either way I don't see the problem with it.

Thanks Ram. I wasn't sure if the rule had changed so I didn't question it when he told me that. But it did seem odd that it would be a legal play. I'm certain what I saw was a horse collar and it wasn't called or argued by anyone, so maybe my 20/20 vision is no longer 20/20.

The officials are usually 10 -15 yards behind Baker when he crosses the goal line. :lol2:

18 is Noah Roberts, and he's a very good player. Tough, hard nosed runner at fullback. There's not a coach in the state that wouldn't take the young man on their team.
