September 15, 201511 yr "Many families that send their children to our schools make a sacrifice to live in Fort Thomas." ---Mark Goetz Huh?? What sacrifices do Ft Thomas residences make?? Don't tell me higher tax rates. That's a small fee to pay for low crime, nice parks, convenient location, nice housing stock ... and quality schools to boot. He is correct, many do sacrifice other things to live in Ft Thomas for the very reasons you mentioned. Similar to parents foregoing some things to put their kids through private schools. Nobody is saying it's not worth it because to those doing it, it obviously is worth the added costs.

They certainly pay extra for their houses.
September 15, 201511 yr They certainly pay extra for their houses. People in Cinci-tucky crying about high housing prices, cry us a river all the way to Ohio.
September 15, 201511 yr People in Cinci-tucky crying about high housing prices, cry us a river all the way to Ohio. Housing prices are relative. If you want to live in NKY you'll pay extra in some neighborhoods - as you already know.

September 15, 201511 yr Goetz has become pretty effective at finding 6 figure gigs in the education space without doing any educating. Good for him I guess but he isn't a very popular dude.
September 15, 201511 yr He's about to get very popular with some, maybe most, residents and less popular with those gaming the system.
September 15, 201511 yr This happened at Beechwood too. Smaller school though, and the cheaters are usually caught quickly. Years ago, a rather wealthy attorney living out of district, gave his in district parents "educational guardianship" of his children and they attended Beechwood for free, but lived out of district. It was actually a legit loophole at the time. Fortunately, the school closed that loophole. There have been several cases of people using false addresses, but someone will usually turn them in, especially if the cheaters kid makes a team that the in district parent's kid did not.
