Boone plays Dixie this evening (Thursday). Reading another post, will Dixie field a team with Sophomores included?

 

From what has been reported, yes.

 

This is just a temporary thing for this year. I'm sure next year things will be back to normal numbers wise, at least I hope so.

When I talked to a friend of mine who is somewhat close to the Dixie football program he said that they have 15 kids out right now due to injury and 9-12 grade they have like 48 players able to play.

 

Do you mean they have 15 kids on the freshman squad or are short 15 kids who usually play but are out due to injury? That seems like a lot of injured kids just on the freshman squad, unless they have 50-60 kids on the team, but even then it would be a lot of injuries.

Beechwood freshmen beat Lloyd's froshmore team 28-6 tonight. Beechwood is now 2-0.

Yes.....Beechwood seems to be very good middle school through high school..I believe every team is still undefeated..

Yes.....Beechwood seems to be very good middle school through high school..I believe every team is still undefeated..

Have seen the middle school team play, they aren't very big, but they execute well and play within themselves. I heard the freshmen team looks like they are talented at the skill positions. Will be interesting to see how this translates into future success. Beechwood seems to have some strong classes waiting in the wings to reload the Tiger program.

I am sorry to hear about all those injuries. Let's hope things look better for Dixie next season.

Cooper had something like 3 of 5 lineman out of the game, their center being one of them. Numerous snaps over the QB's head in the second half. QB was most of their offense in the first half and cramped in the 2nd half. Conner was able to do what they wanted too in the 2nd half.

Not sure if Caleb Jefferson is playing football, I know he is a top ranked player in hoops for his class. I heard straight from his mouth he will be attending NCC for HS.

Jefferson is not playing football for beechwood. Odd he would go to NCC for High school. Why is he paying to go to Beechwood for a year? Why not just go to his district school for free?

Because NCC is a basketball school. Kid has a ton of potential to play in college.
