Have seen the middle school team play, they aren't very big, but they execute well and play within themselves. I heard the freshmen team looks like they are talented at the skill positions. Will be interesting to see how this translates into future success. Beechwood seems to have some strong classes waiting in the wings to reload the Tiger program.

Had five 8th graders start for the freshman team last year and one of those guys starts for the varsity both ways as a freshman this year. beechwood freshman football is right there with Ryle, Cov Cath and Highlands as tops in NKY. They play Cov Cath October 7th which should be a good one.

Because NCC is a basketball school. Kid has a ton of potential to play in college.

Logan Castleman. Plays corner/safety, slot, has a couple of td's, one an interception return and had a punt return TD called back last week.

What freshman teams play this week? Who are the match ups?

Boone Co. vs Cooper on Thursday evening. Not sure of location, though originally it was supposed to be at Boone. Has that changed?

 

the reason I ask is that the Boone soccer schedule showed they were playing at home on Thursday also. Can't both be on the same field at the same time. Law of Non Contradiction and all that.

Probably doing a CVH/Villa, get a year of varsity experience in as an 8th Grader.

Beechwood is a lot less expensive than Villa. ( I know CVH did not attend Villa). I think I saw the old Holy Cross bus at Beechwood, with Erik Goetz be hind the wheel.

They have a Froshmore team.... meaning they use several sophomores. I've heard the sophmore players are quite good. Scott Freshman beat Beechwood last year, twice. Scott had a all freshman team last year so the Tigers will see some of the same players that won the freshman championship a year ago. Good test for Beechwood tonight to stay undefeated.
