If Patrino plays and starts Bolin in last 3 game there is a chance the Cards are 3-0 and not 0-3.

It's nice to watch him beat someone not named Boyle County. :D

Didn't see this loss coming. I am definitely all for Bolin taking the snaps going forward.

I guess that quiets all those people who had the idea in their head that a "good loss" at Auburn should've moved L'ville into the Top 25. I'm not totally sure 2-0 Auburn is a Top 25 team. Yikes.

After today, the stock in Auburn has significantly dropped IMO.

As stated earlier, the tackling was abysmal. Often, poor tackling is a sympton of lack of focus. Front 7 is no where the preseason hype so far. Jackson has a lot to learn at QB. All in all, UL should not have lost this game, although Houston's QB Ward is a winner.

I thought the decision to kick the field goal was wrong, would have rolled the dice and went for it if it were my call.

Bolin has to be the man, Offense came alive when he stepped on the field. The other two QB's are lame at best. Defense.....not sure I can actually call it a defense, they were awful.

Play calling was different when Bolin entered the game

That was me.

FWIW, I think its clear that presently there are, at the very least, 25 other teams better than the Cards. My overall point was the ridiculousness of the poll in general and it having 10 SEC teams in it specifically.

I was back and forth on it. I would have rather tried the field goal than got sacked on 4th and 11. 4th and short I absolutely go for it.

The offense when Bolin came in the game was vintage Petrino offense. When Jackson is in the game, we are running some stupid version of the read option to better fit Jackson. At this point, I saw we play Bolin, run the normal offense, and sprinkle in Jackson with some Wildcat.

I think Lamar would be great in "vintage" Pertino offense. The ability to do play action and bootleg off the run this kid would be dangerous.

What is scary its week 3 and Petrino still shuffling QB's.

I hate the "Wildcat" every team wants to do. It reduces your play book.

He forced the ball way too much on Saturday. All of his picks were REALLY bad reads. If you can't read the defense, you can't play QB. He has to understand that he can't just throw the ball up and pray in college. He definitely has the raw talent to get the job done, but you gotta have it upstairs to play at this level.

And I agree, no solid #1 QB is concerning.

In a glass half full world, my hopes are that Lamar hasn't yet harnessed his adrenaline in playing at a higher level. Obviously the kid has an absolute cannon, but the majority of his deep balls weren't even close to the intended receiver, and from my memory, they were thrown too far. Hopefully a better touch comes along as he gets more comfortable.

You're right. He definitely over threw at least two receivers on deep balls.

Louisville could legitimately start the season 1-6.
