This was a great game, can't compare either of the PT games.....I think at this point both teams are considerably better than PTHS...Mustangs controlled the tempo for the majority of the game, but if not for a taunting call on a Mayfield defender late in the 4th we would have been looking at a long FG just to send it to O.T. Either way it was a great win against a tough Cardinal team and the end to a very impressive streak. This makes 2 years in a row beating mayfield hopefully we can continue our own streak in this rivalry.

I liked the fight we had tonight and we had numerous opportunities to score more points but just didn't take advantage of those chances.

 

McCracken has a fast team with lots of athletes all over the field. I thought Mayfield held Hughes in check but #5 gave us fits. Jones can beat you with his arm or legs.

 

Last seasons lose was a moral victory for Mayfield but tonight I thought we had our chances but it just didn't go our way.

Yes, when your normally reliable kicker misses 3 regulation field goals, and a chip shot field goal in OT, it's hard to win. Having said that, I think McCraken was the better team, period.
