Conner 28 Scott 27

Featured Replies

Conner punters have to make better decisions on the rollout run/punt option. At least twice this year they have failed and set up the opponent with an easy TD. Happened in the 2nd qtr tonight.

As a rule of thumb I disagree and think coaches should kick it.

Yep. There's a time to be liberal and a time to be conservative. Unless your defense is absolutely worn out, you should always go for the tie .

I am watching the replay and it took me a few rewinds to figure out how Nelson Perrin scored on the 66 yard run on Scott's 1st possession of the 2nd half.

He lined up in the wing on the right. QB handed off to the back on his left who then went right and did an inside handoff to Perrin who was coming back to the left. Very deceptive.

Does Perrin play QB?

I think he is the JV qb and either plays wr/rb on varsity. I'm not positive though.

Perfect example of a HUGE play that will never show up in the stats.

Conner was down 7 in the 3rd. Threw a quick slant to the goal line that was tipped up. Scott DB was ready to pick it but Conner's Tanner Nyers went into DB mode and knocked it away. Conner then scores next play.

KP is NKY's Fran Tarkenton when it comes to keeping plays alive.

That was a huge part of this game. Probably the key play was the low, line drive punt that Conner returned for a TD. Gotta kick away from a dangerous return man, and I knew it was coming back as soon as it was kicked. Knew this would be a tough one.

It looked like it was Sam Driggers who blew up the 2 PT conversion.

Kudos to NKYSports for the video. Enjoyed it.

Correct. Big-time play.

Been picking against scott ever since I watched them in week 0 and cost me points. I think I finally caved and took them this week and looked what happened...thanks eagles lol.

Congrats to Conner! Came in and took care of business. Good halftime adjustments. Cougars moved the ball well in the 2nd half.

After playing in the same district the last few years, I think this is really becoming a great rivalry/match-up for both the kids and the fans - with 3 straight THRILLERS! In Barker/Castleman's senior year it was tied at 20 with 6 minutes to go in the 4th before things fell apart for Scott. Last year it was a 62 yard burst by Pleasant late in 4th and a 2 pt conversion by London that got Scott by 16-15. Friday night was no different - another great thriller in the books!

Definitely a BIG TIME STOP! Hell, he could have probably accepted the hand off had he wanted too. ChirpChirp

I will bet he has no idea who Fran Tarkenton is!

Isaiah Ebarb was our player of the game tonight. Kid was everywhere. Really nice receiver, made several plays on kickoffs, and also had the game winning punt return for a TD with around 7 minutes left in the game.

Padgett manages the offense well for Conner. Very effective with his legs and improvising when the pocket collapses, but also throws a decent ball to keep a defense honest.

For Scott, Perrin is the real deal. Young blood was doing his thing tonight and is very shifty. He compliments London well and honestly might be the best skill kid that Scott has.

Big time play by the Conner D-lineman that completely blew up Pleasant on the try for two.

Hopefully Gage Tucker (#71?) for Scott is ok. Didn't play in the second half due to a hand injury and word is he could be out for the season...tough break considering he is visiting Louisville tomorrow.

The visit for Gage Tucker went well. He follows up with doctor tomorrow. They may of kept him out for precautionary reasons. He appears not to have any discomfort . Thoughts now are it was jammed pretty good.
