I think it was 96 as that was the year Boyle Beat Danville and went on to play Madison Southern for the regional Championship. After that win they played in state semi's against Breathitt County. 97 was the year Boyle went undefeated and lost to Bourbon County in the mud week #2 in the playoffs.

Two of the best Boyle wins from the 70's.

 

1977. Boyle upset Chris Jones n Ads 14-7. Danville was ranked #1 in AAA. Win gave Boyle enough points in the old playoff system to win a District and make the AA playoffs.

 

1979. Boyle beats DHS on last play of the game. 35 yard pass from CT Wolfe to Tim Warren. Rebels finished 9-1 but missed the playoffs when Russell County beat Somerset by 1 in OT that same night.

For the ADs to have some success they can't have turnovers,especially unforced turnovers.

They need to be disciplined,and cut out any false starts,and illegal motion penalties.

On defense they have to stop the run up the middle. If Boyle's speed beats the ADs speed on the outside then so be it.

The ADs can't give up wide open pass receptions.

If Danville plays smart football I really like their chances. If they don't play smart football it could turn into a long night.

 

Win lose or draw I just hope to see good sportsmanship and zero injuries on both sides.:thumb:
