However, since the point I was making is that Dixie contained him pretty well with the exception of one run then, yes, that IS how it works.

So what part of 3 YAC on 15 of his 16 runs doesn't show containment? And yes, I know he had a run of 99 yards. He wasn't contained on that one. The other 15, yes he was contained.

I said the kid average 3 yards per carry on all of his carries OTHER than 1. There are degrees of contain. This kid seems to be a pretty good back, correct? If so, 3 YPC falls under "contained him pretty well" as I stated.

The style of runner he is Scott should really explore the option on running behind the bigger line, instead of staying outside. I enjoy watching London and Pleasant run the ball and they have been very successful in the past season running outside , but I would love to see them , try running straight up behind the line then break it out. This should open up the pass game and a run to the outside once in a while . These kids are doing a good job , and have been improving week after week . Keep working hard !

However, I don't get the constant need for some fans to always remind a fanbase that their school is not at the level of the top programs.

2) you do know that those three yard carries are what set up other big runs on counter and misdirection plays to nelson and the other ball carriers, yes Dixie did a great job of stopping #5 in the backfield a few times, also a few of those small yardage carries where at the end of the game when everyone in the stadium knew Scott was going run the ball to kill the clock

 

EAGLES dominated and are a really good team this year will they beat the top teams in nky like sk maybe not but that doesn't take away from this 4a team that is doing everything right to make this a winning program

Scott is pretty good. I watched their game against NewCath and against Dixie. It truly is tough to get a read on them based off of both of those games. Having said that, they have a solid play maker in #7 . #7 0 is one of the better defensive linemen in the area, if not a 1st team type. They have the pieces. They need to round out their offense. They tried against Dixie, but will have to be able to do it to beat SK. They like to line up in really tight splits and use motion and ball fakes out of the pistol. It is kind of a cool offense to watch, but SK's front 7 is too good to be 1 dimensional, IMO.

I'm talking yardage but you knew that. You just chose to ignore that part because then you would have to admit he was contained on those 15 carries.

 

And good thing he could run it in from 3 and 5 yards out behind the bigger line.
