Derrick Rose is being sued by a woman who claims the NBA superstar and two of his friends drugged and gang raped her.

 

The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, says she and Rose dated from 2011 to 2013. During that time, Rose allegedly tried to pressure her to masturbate in front of him, allow him to have sex with her friends and engage in group sex with strangers, all of which she says she refused.

 

Rose's accuser says the two continued to date until August 2013, when Rose and two friends, Ryan Allen and Randall Hampton (who is also Rose's personal manager), invited her to Rose's Beverly Hills house. She says there, they slipped a drug into her drink with the aim of raping her.

 

The plaintiff says she escaped the house with a friend, but later that night, Rose and his friends broke into her apartment and gang raped her while she was incapacitated. She says she remembers only "flashes" of the incident, but can remember the defendants forcibly raping her.

Trust me. I thought of that as I came to my conclusion. I usually give more credit to the possibility of it being true. Hard to put a finger on why but it just doesn't pass the smell test for some reason.

It's unfortunate that some people lie about things like this too, making it even harder for the true victims.

If she did neither, I have a hard time believing her story and would lean more towards a money grab.

I wonder if she has any evidence? I doubt it. And what is this nonsense about not coming out with it for two years because of her "conservative family"?!?! What the heck does that even mean? Is she saying her conservative family would be MAD AT HER for getting drugged and then raped by three guys? I am just baffled at that excuse for waiting a couple of years before coming out with this. My guess is that she has been trying to get money out of him for awhile and when he told her to finally jump in a lake, she decided to do this.

If this is "proven" to be false, I hope the alleged victim is prosecuted. Didn't that happen in a case like this sometime in the past year or so?

I'm not sure. I'd think that she knows this is potentially damaging to him whether it goes away quickly or not. A quick settlement to make it go away could be her play. I'd be surprised if he doesn't fight this full on though.

I believe he was rehabbing his torn ACL at the time of this incident. Not saying he isn't physically capable of committing an act like this but reckless behavior isn't something associated with Derrick Rose. Gang raping an ex-girlfriend with a fragile leg doesn't seem to be something he would even consider knowing how careful he was to come back to the court to even play when he was cleared to play.

As a Bulls fan, it's disappointing to see news like this out of a relatively down-to-earth and humble kid like Rose. Not saying he's guilty, but when he gets associated with this type of behavior, whether it be true or not, it's a definite blow to his character.
