Bowling Green moves up after a shocking Highlands loss to Cooper. How far should Highlands be down? Who else should be ahead of them. Pulaski proved they have some fire power last week, can their offense keep that up all year? Covington Catholic took a loss last week, and will take quite a few more this year agains a crazy strong schedule? Is this the year Highlands and CovCath sit at home for the State Championship? Can either recover and dominate? Does Owensboro have what it takes? Who moves up? Who moves down?

Big game against the upstart Young Guns of Christian County this week at the Stadium of Champions. I look for a good hard fought game!

Jumper, lets see how they play, but I wouldn't disagree with that. I love to see teams schedule tough teams. Impressed Pulaski has them on their schedule!

I can't wait to see the results of the Fern Creek/Manual game. Fern Creek may be the biggest mover next week. Remember, they are used to playing in the Louisville Class 6A and moved to 5A this year in the re-alignement. Not much pre-season talk about Fern Creek. I bet Coach Abell liked it that way.

I personally would put Oboro ahead of HHS at this point, don't know much about the other schools. One thing keeping HHS up there is their long term success, people know that off years for the Bluebirds are few and far between so they will get more cushion than any other team. If you'll recall Trinity a couple years back continued to be ranked way up there despite multiple losses. Same concept I would imagine.

I agree with 75 Center. The Red Devils should move up a spot, but I wouldn't drop Highlands below that.

Agreed. That will have been the best win of the season by all of the teams in 5A. Strength of schedule should count for something.

Yes. Put them at 5th and make them earn their way back up.

Starting lineman Logan Davis out for the year for Anderson after a horrific broken ankle in Friday nights win against South Oldham at home. Logan was probably their best lineman and was getting some college interest. This will hurt Anderson for sure. I hope the young man is able to fully recover.

Owensboro should be ahead of Highlands. Owensboro a solid win @ Warren Central (WKU), Highlands pulverized by a great Cooper team. Not saying they won't flop with a convincing Highlands win, but at this point Owensboro has earned to be ranked higher.

Let's not overstate the Cooper Highlands game. It was 23-13 with 3 minutes to go in the game. I would have Highlands at #4 .
