I don't know if Scott has a passing game or not so I can't decide on this one. If Scott is still a run run run and run some more team then NCC may win. If Scott can show a more balanced offense I think Scott takes this one.

They've got a few more weapons this year with a more experienced QB. I think they will throw more if they need to. But if they are churning out the yards on the ground, they will keep running, especially against teams with high powered offenses, in effort to shorten the game some.

This probably one of the best match ups this week.

Jacob is a great kid he did nothing wrong.

So you're saying he is injured?

When you are a small school and going against a good large school, losing one player does matter, especially if he is going both ways. When you lose your best player, imo, it matters even more because there is usually a big drop off at small schools because there are less kids to choose from. Should NCC forfeit.....are you suggesting that? No one on here has suggested that. Wonder why you say that Sportsfan2012? When you cheer for a good player in the area, it is good to know why he is missing games if he is injured. No one likes to see kids get injured. Guess you don't care whether he is injured, whether he plays, or care about the kid in general the way you are carrying on. I hope he isn't injured personally so I was wondering why no one is talking about his well being. Watching high school football, you should always care about the well being of every kid. If he did something wrong, sit him and hopefully he learns from his mistake. If he is injured, how many games will he be out? Are these bad questions to ask?

I hear a minor injury. May miss a week or two just to make sure he is properly healed and doesn't get worse during non district games. Absolutely 100% an injury nothing g else at all.

I am just going on something you said, if Smith doesn't play you will take Scott and it won't be close. I am merely stating that there is other players on that team can step in for Smith's presence that's all.

So when did the injury occur?? During the Holmes scrimmage...I thought it was stated he played into the 3rd quarter and looked very good?? What is the injury?? Hate to see a kid get hurt and miss multiple games his senior year.

I believe its an older injury again minor could play with if had to but all parties agree let it heal properly for the best of the young mans future and being there to help the team make another run at state.

I am told it is not an injury but rather a violation of team rules on Smith. If someone official wants to correct me on that you can reach me at: [email protected]

Let's leave it at that and move on.

No one has been more critical than me when it comes to Scotts lack of developing a passing game so let me give them some credit. In the scrimmage against Lloyd, Fitzgerald threw the ball very well and the receivers made some terrific catches. Even during the JV scrimmage Perrin made an unbelievable throw that was right on the money.

A couple of things that stuck out to me from the scrimmage. Gage Tucker has really improved from last season. His footwork is much better and he did a great job with his blocks. When he goes forward, the defender is going backwards. The Jr has tremendous strength in his lower body.

Nelson Perrin just doesn't do anything wrong. He was great on all three parts of the game, returning kicks, RB and QB as well at Safety. This young man is fun to watch!

Scott has a lot of talent on its team. Lloyd really struggled to move the ball so hopefully their defense has improved from last year. As far as their offense, I just will never be a fan of that type of offense. If the Defense is improved, they will have a better record than they did last year even with the tougher schedule.

Good luck to Scott and NCC!
