Just for the record he doesn't go both ways.

He has played defense before and from the sound of it will play some defense this year.

"There's not a lot he can't do. We'll even play him some on defense if we have to," Wagner said. "It's probably too risky to play him a lot on defense. But, he'll play pretty much everywhere else."

How have they switched up their offense.

Some of the G-town offense that was installed will be gone. TEs were pretty much not used. Single back sets almost exclusively. QB always in shotgun. Etc.

As for the game I think NCC will struggle somewhat in the first 4 games and could go 0-4 but that won't have a big effect on the rest of the season because the first four teams are pretty good.

Scott will run the ball and might not light up the scoreboard in this one but should be in control because NCC will not be moving the ball much without Smith. NCC passing game probably not there yet so this could be relatively a low scoring game.

Should be a good one; may attend if I can get away. I look forward to seeing how the Breds look this season.

People seem to over look the other talented running backs at Newcath....John "Hairball" Harris looks really good, I look for him to make a huge impact for the Breds.

You can also count the other young men that I look forward to having a huge impact back there with Smith. I've said it over and over in this thread yes Smith definitely is an asset but NCC will be fine.

That being said ...I wouldn't over look Scott and the talent they have . They are very well rounded this season. They have a running game , as everyone knows. They also have a passing game . The defense looks solid as well as the special teams . I think it will be a good game . Will definetely be attending this one .

Agreed! Honestly this is gonna be one of the better games Friday night. I know there are a couple others ones but this should be on that list! Good luck to both teams!!

New Cath in a close one 27-24.

This is the 3rd year with the new coach so I suspect he has made the changes he is going to make.

NewCath has a 6'5 210 pound qb and some tall receivers they might air it out this game. I think Scott will struggle defending the pass.

Scott Eagles Pep Rally tonight at the New Skyline in Taylormill this evening 6pm to 8pm. Come out and support the team and enjoy listening to the band and cheerleaders. Hope everyone can make it out !!

That sounds like a neat thing to get the community and the student body to come out and support the team. Wish more schools did this and not just for the football team.

A lost great tradition.
