If you are a "fan", you would want to be there? Many I am sure will just record it and watch it at a later date. Just hoping I can get there before kickoff.

It's a natural turf field. I can't think of any natural turf field in NKY that has ever been a great field except for Beechwood back in the day. This is also the first game of the year which is totally different than Football and Soccer games in October.

 

Cooper's field just like Conners and Boone's and any other field with natural grass isn't the best. But this is football where no matter what it's an even playing field for both teams. It's Football Season folks! Let's rock the place tonight!

Field is in good condition right now. Like any grass field that has boys and girls soccer, and all 3 football programs playing on it, it takes a beating and it shows early in the season. Add into that the drainage system they put in when building the school is terrible, it is a recipe for disaster.

 

The good news, though, is that in the beginning of the season the field always looks good, and right now is no different. It has had 4 soccer games on it this week on Monday and Tuesday but the field was dry so not much damage.

 

Bottom line, the first football game of the season the field looks pretty darn good, so that won't be an issue tonight. But the rest of Cooper's games there is a pretty solid chance the field will not be in great shape. They should have built a separate soccer field for boys and girls soccer to play on when the school was built and this wouldn't be an issue. Definitely a non-issue tonight. Come on out and check it out

WLWT Blitz 5 will be their for the pre-game Tailgate and highlights. Time Warner Cable Channel 510 (SD) and 511 (HD) will be airing the game live, or you can listen to the game on the radio at AM 1360 or 1530
