Disagree. Two different type of players. CVH is just a better all around player than McNeil. Don't get me wrong, McNeil is a very nice player. Just my opinion.

Agree they are different players but that doesn't mean Sean won't be in the running for POY.

The guy does work hard and go to a lot these games. It's not fair to say he ranks kids cause they pay him. I don't agree with all but actually the list is pretty solid I think. There nothing wrong with saying if like see this player on the list or this kid higher than another kid but some this other stuff some say bout this guy is not right

Damon probably is not 6'4", but he is closer to 6'3" than 6'1". He also jumps out of the gym and plays much bigger than his size. Whose better and who should be ranked higher really is just an opinion for one's self. Is it certain that Damon has started school at PCC this year?

Just the opposite, yes he jumps well off one foot on the run, but jumping off 2 feet around the basket he plays below the rim! He has no chance with a taller player guarding him. Maybe 6'1" 1/2. Not trying to start anything GoHardITP just giving my opinion.

I think this is a more accurate list:

2017

30 kids better than McNeil? Class is LOADED if true.

30 kids better than McNeil? Class is LOADED if true.

There are exceptions for sure but I think overall it is more accurate.

The thing about McNeil is I'm not sure many people in KY have actually seen him. He plays in NKY, his team hasn't played many big HS events that I know of and he played AAU for OBC so he didn't play AAU state or anything like that.

Not arguing anything about his abilities as a basketball player. Just saying he probably hasn't been seen as much as CVH.

I get that. No different than the other guy's list in this thread.

I say someone will not be happy!!

I would add Jordan Perry of Morgan County.

I like that we have people in the state providing exposure for the kids and for scouting services player rankings are as natural as team rankings are for sport publications. I just do not think it is good for player development if the player themselves has desperate concerns over their rank. The players who really make it in their sport of choice are those whose development is marked by constant striving for excellence.

If a player feels snubbed, remember the old horse racing adage that a horse never runs so fast as when he has others horses to catch up.

I would add Jordan Perry of Morgan County.

Wrong class he would be 2016

I think this is a more accurate list:

2017

I think Taylor does a really good job (probably best overall evaluator of talent in the state) but I'd take Tavin Lovan and Jaylen Sebree over Young and Sloan.

Day Day is Taylor's guy though so I can understand him ranking him #1 in that class.

I'd personally go with the following top 4 and I've seen those kids play multiple times on the summer circuit:

Tavin Lovan

Jaylen Sebree

Day Day Sloan

Trace Young

30 kids better than McNeil? Class is LOADED if true.

Sean is more in the 11-15 range than 31st. I wouldn't take Jamil Wilson or Bryson Asher over him and they are 21/22. He can hold his own with anyone in that class.

Like Coach Q said, not many have had the chance to see him on the summer circuit because of playing with OBC and Pouncy here and there.

I think this is a more accurate list:

2017

Jacoby Harris and Peyton Gover are both way too low and some others are too high. They ranked them how they saw them though. Most likely they ranked who they saw at their camp that they held in Lexington. A good showing at a 1-2 day camp can go a long way towards being ranked.
