Campbell County 2015-16

Ryle struggled with pressure last year, so that doesn't surprise me. I think triples is talking about teams with balance.

Ryle plays Mason on Dec. 5th at 12:00. We owe them one.

I'm not sure it's that's always the case, totally depends on how good the guards are and how good the post players are. Campbell is guard heavy but they were able to stop Ryles big good post players no problem last year

Campbell will have one of the best teams in the area and contend for their region...well coached...move the ball very well and can certainly shoot. As to the Ryle Campbell game last year...Campbell played the better game but Ryles post players didn't spend great deal of time in the post. Word is you can expect a different balanced attack from Ryle this year. But no doubt that Campbell will be in the hunt for a regional title.

On flip side - Brossart beat them in Crosstown and then led for 3.5 quarters in districts before Fornash came thru with a couple of daggers at end. Not saying or predicting anything as Campbell is definitely for real.. Just that Brossart post play was their strength last year and will be again this year and that anything can and will happen in that rivalry.

Campbell was also missing a top player.

It'd be tough to pick a favorite in the 10th so early...good discussions but no clear team running away with it at this stage...maybe Mason at best if you are going to predict anything. Brossart, Campbell, Scott....one of them will be unfortunate enough to not make it to the Regional. Whoever gets the #1 seed out of the District seeding games is essentially the only guarantee to make the Region. As PSJ stated, a couple huge 3's kept the Camels alive for their Region run but could easily have been eliminated. Everyone is a year older, stronger and hopefully more experienced...the Camels are talented though throughout their lineup and bench...

The games between crosstown rivals are always a toss-up, but so fun to watch. LOL I don't predict anything different this year. Great guards against the post players will be the big factor once again.

Obvious. It certainly depends on how good. We were talking starting 5 so the assumption was "your best 5".

I am with you on the point your making. If my post players are not skilled enough to force double teams, or weak side help, or if they are not able to force mismatches, then I'll take 5 quality guards any day of the week. In my post, I made specific reference to SKILLED post player.

Great early tests for the Lady Camels! I think they will start strong out of the gate.

The Lady Camels win the scrimmage with Male 66-54. Nice job ladies!

They also played an extra quarter and still won by a score of 77-64.

Nice!

Nice win Lady Camels! Did Male have their coach suspended for this scrimmage?

I am not sure if this is a joke or not but he was there and coaching. Don't suspensions start in the regular season, as in the first real game?
