UFC 190 - Rousey vs. Correia Aug 1, 2015

Featured Replies

UFC should create a higher women's weight class so that Rousey can move up. It doesn't make sense for Cyborg to have to drop weight. I could see that being an excuse if Cyborg would lose to Rousey at the Bantamweight level.

Disagree. Cyborg has been caught multiple times on roids and is the main reason she fights 10 pounds heavier. If she wants to be relevant again she needs to fight on Rousey's terms.

So did she literally get the crap knocked out of her?

I hear you, but I think if Ronda gained 10 pounds, she would still destroy Cyborg and then there wouldn't be any potential excuses.

UFC needs to find some talent that can at least stay in a match with Rhonda, its making the product look bad.

Got to think that is a pretty shallow talent pool to begin with...

Has she been caught multiple times?? I'm only aware of the once incident, and the was back in 2011. Since then she's passed multiple tests every year. And she is naturally a big woman, as she regularly walks around at around 170 lbs and has never really fought at the lower weight. Rhonda has fought several times at 145lbs, including almost her entire Judo career.

There just aren't a lot of women in the world that have the talent that Rousey has IMO. She's earned the title of world champion.

Eventually, like every champion, someone will get her. I think it will take a few years though.

Not real I just seen the same picture on ESPN her shorts are all white.

Do the refs always jump into MMA fights that early and end them? The woman had just hit the canvas and the ref jumps on her and calls it. That seemed to be a quick call of the fight. I don't follow MMA so I have no clue. Do they end fights that fast in MMA?

The way she fell, I think it was clear she was done. May have been "out" for a split second.

After Rousey's right hand to the temple, Correia fell straight down on her head. Her hands did nothing to stop her fall. The ref did the correct thing to jump in.

It's a little different from boxing. In MMA once you appear out of it, and are unable to defend yourself, the fight is getting stopped. Considering that unlike boxing, you will keep getting hit when you get knocked down, it prevents things from getting too ugly, and somebody really getting hurt.

if she is truly 170 lbs I'd have a hard time believing she wasn't using. just really hard for a female to get that heavy with that low of BF without it.

She was unconscious and letting it go any further would have only resulted in an even worse beating.....it wasn't necessary to let it go any further.
