Johnny Cueto

Yes, Leake brings you more in a trade than Cueto will IMO.

What's your rationale behind that? Because that's completely insane to suggest.

For some weird reason he thinks all the best players are terrible and both worth anything.

Jason Vargas of the Royals just went down for the year. They are really going to need another starter now. I'm guessing they might be able work some magic out for Cueto

Chapman brings more trade value than anyone because the team that gets him controls him for 2 years.

Leake has trade value because the team that gets him can sign him a lot easier than the team that gets Cueto.

Cueto only has max value if the team trades for him is sure that they can sign him and is willing to part with good players in order to do so.

All Reds fans should be praying the Astros are the destination for the trades.

Package Cueto and Leake to Kc for Mondessi and a few other mid level guys. Don't know if they would go for that though. Would be a really nice pickup

any change Cueto is hurt, everyone knows it, no one offers a deal worth taking and the Reds sign him long term at a favorable contract?

He'd still be a free agent at the end of the year and have plenty of bidders if it weren't a long term injury. If it were a long term injury why would the Reds want to sign him even at a discount?

Nope.

wondered if it might me an elbow issue that might take a while to heal.... a year or so. that would be enough to scare most teams away who are looking for immediate help and most would be leery in FA as well.

Cross Houston off the list. They just acquired Kazmir. The Reds are going to screw this up, you can just tell.

Was just getting ready to post the same thing after seeing the At Bat alert. I have to think the Astros aren't done.

Rosenthal is saying they're still looking for a bat.

Oakland received the Astros #19 and #22 prospects

If the Reds traded for that I would have been ticked. Glad they didn't do that deal.
