I wish they'd dump Vitale... Talk about dead weight.

Not much of a Cowherd fan. Although I would listen at times from noon to 1pm, to carryover from Dan Patrick to Van Pelt.

I miss SVP - Ruscillo is awful.

While on subject, I think most agree, Chris Berman should have been put out to pasture many seasons ago.

Probably the best analysis of Cowturd I've heard.

That you Phyllis?

Hang on. I'm waiting to become depressed about this.....

Still waiting....

I really like Cowherd and will miss his show. He says things that make you think. I like that. I find it interesting that I have heard him talk about others who have left ESPN and have wished they didn't later. I am sure he is getting a hefty pay increase to go. Also' date=' he is a west coast guy so I am sure going to LA is very appealing to him. Who will take his place???[/quote']

I don't think this had anything to do with money.

I think that they think because they are ESPN that can fill these spots with anybody and still get the same ratings. I'm not a fan of too many of them but other than Golic and Bayless I can listen to any of the others.

With that being said Papi and Bomani are my favs.

Yeah, not Cowherd's best moment for sure. Not sure why he even went there. Didn't really relate to the discussion in any way.

All I'm getting on 1530 right now is something in Spanish instead of his show...:idunno:

Oh, Colin. In the midst of trying to make a parting shot at the MLB, he inserts his foot into his mouth about a country. I get what he was trying to stay, but it was uncalled for.

I happened to hear that rant (if you will) live yesterday, and in the context that he was offering it, I didn't receive it as it is now being portrayed. He was originally talking more about how only 4% of major leaguers have their degree (the lowest of any major US sport), and that 1/3rd of major leaguers don't speak fluent English, and how the combination of those two fly in the face of baseball being a "thinking man's game" and that great communication is key to being successful as a manager / player. The Dominican reference was kind of a throw away comment, when listening live.

He's just not as clever/funny as he and a lot of hipsters think he is. I enjoy his show during pro and college football season, except for his incessant ranting about the greatness of teams on the west coast, but other than college and pro football discussion I find him hard to listen to.
