July 12, 201511 yr With these events now being bid on, you think they will only take bids from stadiums that can close their roof, to avoid weather issues?
July 13, 201511 yr from the local weather people it sounds like tomorrow might end up to be OK for the derby. They are saying that there will be rain but most likely late afternoon then potential for a pop up during the evening. We might have enough gaps in between systems to get it in. Also luckily it's the Hr derby where the field doesn't have to be 100% playable.
July 13, 201511 yr For those looking to see the Tundra hit, not going to happen. It's gone. You'll only see Chevy's on Monday night.
July 13, 201511 yr Steve Horstmeyer was making me a believer tonight. I watched all 4 local ones tonight lol. 3 out of the 4 made me optimistic, but WLWT acted like the stadium might blow into the Ohio river. It looks like it's going to happen, might be a little delayed, but it will still get done. On a side not, if those storms that come through do end up being like they say they are, that zip line contraption they built might get destroyed.
July 13, 201511 yr Anyone have a clue on whats going to happen in the event of rainout? Refunds for everyone or you are just out of luck?
July 13, 201511 yr Anyone have a clue on whats going to happen in the event of rainout? Refunds for everyone or you are just out of luck? I imagine if there are rainouts of any kind, the tickets will be refunded. What's going to be interesting is what happens to the people who buy the tickets on the secondary market?
July 13, 201511 yr Anyone have a clue on whats going to happen in the event of rainout? Refunds for everyone or you are just out of luck? The HR Derby was rained out when it was in Cincinnati in 1988. Not a positive omen.
July 13, 201511 yr Anyone have a clue on whats going to happen in the event of rainout? Refunds for everyone or you are just out of luck? Two different weathermen made it seem like they'd be able to get the event in today because there was going to be a nice window of no rain. I'm praying this happens and I'm sure there are many in the Reds & MLB offices are doing the same.
July 13, 201511 yr Got a stupid bet with my boss. We basically drafted from the participants. I got: Pujols Pederson Rizzo Fielder (he was the last pick of the draft, even though I got a bad feeling he takes down Frazier)
July 13, 201511 yr I imagine if there are rainouts of any kind, the tickets will be refunded. What's going to be interesting is what happens to the people who buy the tickets on the secondary market? They will likely be very unhappy.

Chances getting better and better for WLWT's prediction. The Day After Tommorow 2.
