Chris Christie announces Presidential run

Featured Replies

For a long time, I thought it was Bush or Christie's race to lose on the GOP side.

Now I think it's Bush or Rubio, with Paul possibly having a shot.

If I were betting on this in Vegas I'd wager on Paul. I'm not saying he's the favorite, but I imagine he'd be something like 5-1. He has enough upside in this field to make that a value. Jeb is the clear favorite and if his name were anything other than Bush this would all be moot.

According to a Fox News poll from last Wednesday, he's nearly in the cellar among the GOP candidates, earning just 2% support.

That same poll has Trump in 2nd place and Carson in 3rd.

I believe I saw where Kasich plans to throw his hat in the ring around mid-July.

Kasich is most likely announcing July 21 and Walker may be doing so on July 13.

No doubt.

Same is true for Hillary.

I like Paul's chances in a General Election much more so than in the GOP Primary.

I saw that as well. Not surprised to see Trump at #2 , but definitely surprised to see Carson at #3 .

Jeb will be the nominee for the GOP when all is said and done.

I would have absolutely voted for him in 2012. I think I'd lean his way now as well, but haven't followed nearly as closely as I used to.

Of the Republican candidates out there currently, Christie is easily the choice for me.

Christie is the favorite Republican of every Democrat that I know.

In my opinion only 4 candidates have a legitimate shot of winning the nomination:

Jeb, Walker, Rubio, Paul, in that order. Carson and Trump may be Huckabee from 2008. No one else will make much noise.

At this point, I would vote for Christie over any other candidate, of any party.

Now that is encouraging!

From what I can tell, at this point I like Jed's chances in the primary.
