Simon Kenton should be in the mix. They played in the state finals in 08 they have 101 games since 2000 also. They have won 32 games in the last 3 years.

Simon Kenton platoons. I don't think Corbin or Somerset does. I have been consistent in my belief that a platooning team has a great advantage over a team that does not platoon.

In the 15 seasons used for this analysis SK has averaged less than 7 (6.7) games won per year including playoffs...that's not really setting the world on fire!

Ranking the Top 10:

 

10. Scott County- Cardinals edge Hazard by the slightest of margin with almost identical resumes. One more Regional Final the only difference

 

9. Male- Strength of competition and 4 trips to the Finals

 

8. Danville- Strong resume and essentially a dead tie with Beechwood but..

 

7. Beechwood- Tigers get the advantage on recent success over the Ads

 

6. Bowling Green- Purples get the edge on Championships

 

5. Belfry- Very strong resume as the Pirates are near the top in every category

 

4. Central- Their Head to Head vs. Belfry give them the edge

 

3. Boyle County- The Championships move them up. Not the strongest recent resume, but their run is undeniable.

 

2. Mayfield- At or near the top in every category

 

1. Highlands- #1 in everything but Regional Titles. No brainer. Birds rule the Publics!

 

This is another scenario where some teams would be ranked higher if not for Trinity. 2001, 2002, 2006 and probably 2013 would have been titles for Male too were it not for the Rocks. Although i will say in 2010 that I feel as though Ryle probably would have beaten that Male squad in the title game.

SK doent belong on this list. Dixie has more wins than SK from 2000 to now. Also has owned SK in head to head in that time frame.
