This is a good point. I do think a lot of the players in this game are very good high school players who are not going to play at the next level either by their choice or not. The game is a lot of fun.

Being I am the fan I am when it comes to high school football, I always try and ask players I meet after their playing days are over if they miss the game or not. And almost all of them say they do and they wish they could have played one more game.

Maybe this is just one more game for the kids. Just wish they could put a spin on it.

I've been at this game for several years and its not a "one last game" situation. You'll see D-3 and NAIA coach's looking for that kid who didn't send out any film, for whatever reason, and see if they want to continue to play. If you go to this game check out the sidelines because its not just the various high school staff's there.

Maybe this is just one more game for the kids. Just wish they could put a spin on it.

They don't need to put a spin on it. It's always a pretty big deal to the players who get to play in it. The best thing about the game is many of these kids grew up playing together or against each other from 1st grade on and it's the very last time they get to play on the same field together.

 

I know they all had a blast the last 2 years and this game doesn't need anything else to put a spin on it. It's about the seniors to play with their friends one last time. Many of the players in the game will play at the next level and those that don't get one last game to suit up.

Pretty sure each coach nominates five players. If any of the five choose not to play for whatever reason, the coach has the option of filling that void.
