I'm honestly surprised no one has defended the guy yet.

A sign was put up at the pool thanking the officers for their response.

Like I said the cop who pulled a gun has to go.

But if it's true it's a private pool and 70 people were suppose to be there. Cops had to respond .

From what I gathered it was a pool party someone was throwing and some had guest passes and others didn't and climbed the fence to get in. We'll never know who was supposed to be there and who wasn't and it complicates the whole story.

Only one person was arrested as a result of all of this.

I'd love to hear from the women who made the racial insults. We've at least gotten the other side of the story.

I laughed out loud when he fell at the beginning. Dude was way too riled up for no reason. All the other officers were being calm and this guy thought he had to go Rambo on some kids. Not going to characteristic a whole police squad because of this incident, but that guy shouldn't have a job in law enforcement ever again

After he pulled the gun on the kids the other two officers grabbed him and held him back. He was out of hand but the other officers appeared to be trying to calm things down.

I read it was much worse than someone just snuck in the party. Many uninvited guests were throwing bottles at cars, fighting, etc...

Post some links. I'd love to read the other side of the story.

What seemed strange to me when I watched the video was how few officers there were considering that the police were dispatched because of some sort of fight and the sheer number of people around.

The officer obviously lost control and that has to be reviewed. Not sure if pointing the gun at someone who was coming up on him is a fireable offense. Taking the girl down was much worse IMO.

Actually that's not what they did.

First, from what the video shows the dude seemed to be a over the top. That said I really can't say for sure without seeing a video of the entire encounter. I'll let the McKinney police department investigate and wait for the full story to come out first.

That said, when the guy pulled his gun I don't blame him. When he was in the process of cuffing the girl, there was a crowd of people that came at him and surrounded him. At that point the other officers were not close and he was on his own. He has no idea who has a gun or weapon of some kind and who doesn't. The other officer ran over to help and immediately took off after the 2 he pulled his gun on.

This is not a defense of the way this cop handled the situation. Again I would like to wait and hear the full story.

Waiting to hear the full story means you support the police no matter what, according to some.

Not sure what you are expecting in numbers? There were at least 3 there. Could have been more. Also, we don't know if other officers were at other calls or how many police there are on duty in at any time.
