]In baseball anything can happen[/b] depending on that days pitcher and this bracket looks fairly well balanced with the so-called top 4 teams split between the top and bottom with BW and HHS in the top and Dixie and CCH in the bottom.

In HS baseball, as we all know, anything can happen but I will go with Dixie to win the 9th. They seem to have a little deeper pitching depth.

Highlands vs Beechwood

Dixie vs Ryle

Dixie Colonels - 9th region champs

So true! Good luck to all.

VOR - Don't get excited. I actually think they are the top 2 staffs in the remaining 8 teams in the 9th. I just like Dixie a little more. If they both win their opener and play in the semis I believe whoever wins that game will win it all.

Not getting excited at all. I am asking for details. Who are the top 4 pitchers on each staff and how do they match up?

Wow. BW would have been better served to lose to CCH. Get Purnell first then probably Raisor. Top bracket clearly the toughest.

Where is the tournament being played?

Well NCC is the host this year. That may be why.

Makes sense. They probably should change it on the bracket though. Don't want anyone lost, out looking for the game! :lol2:

I think for being a runner up in their district, Cov Catch got a pretty good draw. The only problem is Ziegelmeyer in the first round.

With all due respect to all the other pitchers mentioned on here because they are all very good, Ruwe is not exactly a slouch. I believe he is 10-0 or something like that. Doesn't seem to get much mention or respect.

Highlands has the most depth but that is why they play the games. No one wins on paper.

So the games are at Florence Fredom ballpark right?

but that is why they play the games. No one wins on paper.

No doubt... I've seen every one of the top pitchers on these teams have an "off day" where they didn't have their control or they simply got hit hard... Or gave up "tough luck" hits... Never know what the baseball gods are gonna do.

Just look at Beechwood last year. Xavier signee pitching and it just didn't happen in the regional game. Anything can happen in baseball.
