May 23, 201511 yr I think that the Reds need new ownership and a new GM...Jocketty doesn't seem to know what he's doing...but he has to have the money to make moves... Nothing with this team will change until there is a change in ownership. The current ownership knows very little about baseball and how to run a baseball team. I just don't know that they need new ownership. I believe Castellini has been involved with ownership of Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles and St. Louis Cardinals.

I don't have a lot of know how to look up stats on each when Castellini was involved with ownership. I'm not sure if Bob was chief owner/decision maker on each either.
May 23, 201511 yr ^^ I agree something needs to be done to shake up this team. SOMETHING to make it worthwhile to go to the park or watch the game on TV (no, I don't want limitless bobbleheads or fireworks or $1 beers). Wait, I might want to rethink $1 beers. I mean I'm watching women's softball over an MLB game for gosh sakes, not that there's anything wrong with that.
May 24, 201511 yr I think Price has been given a bad hand to deal with and doesn't have as much to work with as Dusty. Price has a bad bullpen, top paid guys like Bruce who can't hit anymore, Homer who had had three great starts ever and now has arm problems, etc. So yes Price does some head scratching things sometimes, however that just stands out even more because of all the other bad things with this team. He could get away with some of his decisons if the team around him was better. So right now it wouldn't matter who was manager. However at the end of the day even if its not his fault, he still will end up losing his job this year most likely.
May 24, 201511 yr I honestly don't believe that Price is confident at all, doesn't believe in himself and his own decisions. Players are not Stupid, they pick up on that and therefore have no confidence in him either. IMO everyone, including the Reds players, fans, broadcasters and all others involved are looking at Price and thinking (or saying) ..... "what the hell are you thinking"? Price himself doesn't even know.
May 24, 201511 yr As for me, if one wants a situation where "the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing" and have the inmates running the prison so to speak (today (5/24) BP told Price what he (BP) would and would not do when Price was going to have him DH) then I would ask anyone what would you suggest ? As for me, if I don't have a boss that will make a decision, be confident in that and stick to it if an employee doesn't like it them imo I don't have a boss. That's just me though.
