May 23, 201511 yr Cueto is missing his next start, the blows keep coming That will help his trade value.:no::no:
May 23, 201511 yr My rule as a GM would be don't go more than 5 years on a contract on any player and I would not have any extended contract go beyond a player's age 34. Sure, there could be an exception, but I would be very rigid on the age 34 rule. On the more than 5 years, if Bryce Harper is up for his contract at age 26, I will go up to age 34. If the agent won't agree, trade the star for young value.
May 23, 201511 yr Reds have highest payroll in division. Point would be its not the money spent it's how its spent $38 Million or about a third of the total payroll this season goes to Votto, Bruce and Phillips Reds are currently 27th in runs scored and 26th in team ERA with the 13th highest payroll.

Throw in Baileys contract. Like i said they spend just not wisely. So please lets not talk about how fans need to show so they can raise payroll to compete. The,boys in st.Louis seem to to ok with a smaller payroll . Its all on management
