Time for Reds to part with Price

Featured Replies

If they fire Price and hire Riggleman, I'm DONE with this team.

This is NOT an endorsement of Price by the way.

The Mets are going with a 6 man rotation until mid August. Since Marquis isn't going anywhere at the time being, Cueto with a sore elbow, Leake getting lit in his last couple starts, and the desire to limit innings on Iglesias and Lorenzen I say go for that too. It makes way more sense than the moves of keeping Meso off the DL for 6 weeks and about the same as batting the pitcher 8th.

I'd make a large wager Barry Larkin in the next Reds manager.

Yep. Why else was he randomly brought in as a roving instructor in the middle of the season?

Although if Price is fired mid-season, I could see them naming Riggleman interm for the rest of the season.

What better way to get your feet wet? There is no real pressure for this team to win and when it gets blown up he would be able to play the people he wants to without fear from upper management. He might be able to find out who really wants to be here and who needs to go.
