webster, I believe in a post you mentioned last year, 99% of M-NH home runs were all fence clearing "dongs". So, I counted 45 home runs total so far this season in the numbers posted above, you could take the 27 teams in NKY, combined, and still not come half way to 45 dingers.

We set the single season team HR record last year at 53 after tonight we have 48. These girls work year around their workout in the offseason is CRAZY! We have 10 different girls hit homeruns this year. What's even crazier is they only lose Heather this year. Going to be fun to watch for 3-4 more years. We have a 8th grader Courtney Patterson that will step in nicely next year with Mallory to anchor the pitching staff.

Are all these girls "softball only" players?

Is softball the #1 /#2 sport at the school?

How are the "feeder" programs?

 

At NewCath we have one girl that plays travel ball, Sr. catcher Kristen Schreiber, after that we have 2 & 3 sport players. I always tell folks, "we don't have softball players playing softball, we have ATHLETES that play softball".

I know MNH hitters well and those numbers even though may be hard to believe, sound legit. Those girls are extremely gifted and as good as you'll see. Kaylee has committed to Alabama and may be the best hitter in the state even as a sophomore and not far behind her if at all is Mallory who has committed to UK. This team has 6-D1 commits in their starting line up...SIX!!! Most of us don't have six true D-1 players in our region! Just a great group of kids that happen to be phenomenal athletes as well! If you get a chance to watch them you should take advantage of it. They play the game the way it should be played and although they are exceptional athletes, they are still very humble and hungry.
