Bengals go from what should have been a A+ 1st round where they had a choice of Ray, Dupree or Gregory or even one of the explosive WR's left to taking a OT that is injured. A+ to a C+ in one swift mistake.

Let's grade this in 3 years. They will not sign both Whitworth and Smith after this year. I like the pick.

I really don't have a problem with the pick for the bengals, except that it looks like they could have gotten him later if that was their guy...

Dupree looks like a Steeler. But they haven't hit the last two years trying to take guys like him...

Maybe the Bengals are preparing for their 2018 draft pick when they have the #3 overall pick and will take one of the top QB's that year, so they have to sure up their O Line to protect him.

I am now convincing myself that is what they are doing.

Yea, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Bud will get about $4M for his signing bonus.

He has a injured knee.

Whit, Smith and Winston will allow him time to get back to full speed. Many are applauding the pick, calling him a top five talent.

I would have still took one of the top 10 overall players still available or one of the WR's over the OT.

Dont get me wrong, I dnt hate the guy, I just wish we went another direction seeing who was still available.

I'm pretty tickled with with the selection. He'll learn from the Silverback.

Hey guys. I don't have cable and so could not watch any of the coverage. Were there any trades in the first round, any shifting of position?

Denver traded up to 23 in Detroit's slot

Chargers traded up two slots to take Gordon.

What bothers me about the Bengals this year and last really... The Steelers and Ravens take guys that will step in and contribute right now. The bengals select a guy that tore his ACL a couple months ago and might not play this year.

The kid might turn into a hall of famer. Hopefully he does. But wasn't there a couple more win now prospects on the board? To me it puts real pressure on them to find more immediate contributors in the next couple rounds....

Byron Jones literally broad jumped into the first round. With all due respect, I think he's a 2nd rounder at best.
