I believe that she has already done very well in her first two years at BCHS. I wish her, and her KHA team, the best of luck at Nationals next week.

I would just say that your better off putting your money into a 527 plan than soccer training.

Wow!!! If that is true, then that is really really sad. Guess that explains how another poster commented that they would be young this year. The better question might be whether or not coaches will be there to ride this crest of "great" soccer players through to the end.

Badger the coaching staff? Now that is laughable. Explain to me why so many kids have decided not to return to the program this year? This program went from having 60 plus kids tryout for the team each and every year without needing middle schoolers and now about half the team is middle schoolers. So lets hear it then since you have all the answers.

 

I have not in any case badgered the sophomore, junior, senior, frosh, 7th or 8th grade classes in any way. No need to bash the kids because they are not the issue rather they are just showing up to play a game they love and "hopefully" are having fun doing it. I would assume that is one of the many reasons why so many kids have decided not to return this year.

In reference to the younger kids at Highlands. I'm upset with myself because I can't believe that I didn't recognize your comment as a positive statement. :thumb:

I was only referencing a prior post that mentioned how strong the soph and junior classes were. Nothing against the kids at all.

I call it as I read it.... you clearly belittled their ability and the last I checked that is directly in reference to the kids. I hear what you are saying but your tone and quotes clearly are implying something differnt. Geez.

Geez weez. Lets get to the nuts and bolts of what this is all about then, you want to start? This has nothing to do with the kids and you know that it does not.

Go take a gander at the thread talking about club/select coaches that have same kids on their high school team. Add that to the fact that coaches have kids in the program as well and you have a recipe for disaster. All the best soccer players in NKY do not play on said coach's team or train at said coach's gym. There lies the problem and you can try and twist it any way you like. This is a big reason why the program at said school has had to resort to having 7th and 8th graders tryout in order to field 3 teams.

I'm pretty sure highlands will only have three or four seniors starting. They will probably have a couple on the bench and the rest have called it a career. They do have a strong junior and sophmore class and he made it obvious to all that he couldn't wait to get them on the field

 

What Sr did you see starting? I see 4 starting and good chance 5, maybe 6 if he starts his daughter.

I am a little tired of parents/kids not playing a sport because the don't like the coach. Parents need top stop babying there kids, youi play the game because you love it not because of your coach. These parents/kids need to open their eyes when they get out in the real world and get jobs are they going to quit everytime they don't like their bosses, oh wait those are the ones my taxes pay to not work.

 

Sorry to go on a rant but get over it, if your kids love enough they will play and it will teach them to overcome obsticles that get in their way and learn how to deal with adversity.

Doesn't matter how many likes the above post receives or how many people agree with type of generalization.......

 

That post in no way describes the young ladies choosing to step away from the soccer program at HHS nor does it even come close to describing the parents of these girls. You can try to lump these type decisions into one pot all you want but there are instances when kids are better off not playing.

 

I hope all those that think this is such an easy decision never are put in the situation these girls are up against.

Then what positions are they in because all I hear is that they don't like the coach or he is playing girls over other girls. That is a coaches decisions not a parent, do I agree that all coaches are fair no but neither is life sometimes. I am sure they are good kids and theory have good parents but they them work through the tough times.
