He will fit in well at VU. I would also be willing to bet that one of the factors in his decision, is the top notch basketball facilities at VU.

If that's the case he could actually leave Vincennes after just one year of Juco if he wanted to.

Coach Franklin at Vincennes is a KY native. He usually keeps a few KY kids on the roster. Personally I'm glad to see Bell go this route. If he produces next year he should get some D1 looks. I remember in the early 2000's the Mathis kid ,from Male, did the same thing. Mathis ended up signing with Creighton.

Had he gone the prep route, he would have actually reclassified to the 2016 class and had 4 years of eligibility when he finished his prep year. That's what Aric Holman is doing.

Vincennes is one of the best JUCO's in the country.

 

 

Vincennes University in Indiana, has a track record of sending players on to four-year universities. The Trailblazers sent nine sophomores to Division I and II programs to finish their careers. One of those players was Darius Carter, a key component to Wichita State’s success the past two seasons.

I am not sure. I'm not familiar with the prep school process.

JUCOs D1 typically pay for all. D2 JUCOs pay for school but not for housing.

Most all do provide full rides. I am familiar with Hargrave and Fork Union and they do.

The elite level prep schools do offer scholarships. There are others where families pay $20,000 and up per year.

Vincennes is definitely a better place for Jeremiah than prep school. Once the offer was on the table it was a no-brainer for him.

Vincennes also has 2 guys from the Louisville area that Bell has played with or know. So he should get some good mentors for his 1st year.

It should also be mentioned that Vincennes head coach Todd Franklin has a similar demeanor as the Boyle County head coach, so Jeremiah should feel right at home.
