Hangman
He was certainly a fun one to watch play in his prime. He wasn't quite timing that jump over the line like he used to, but I'll still miss seeing him on Sundays. spindoc
Consummate pro. Glad he retired for this team's sake. But I will miss the Troy that was arguably the best at his position in any generation.

MJAlltheWay24
Great player. In their prime, who do you take: Troy Polamalu or Ed Reed?
TheDeuce
Great player. In their prime, who do you take: Troy Polamalu or Ed Reed? Troy. And yes I'm biased. He's my favorite player ever.

theguru
doc, give us the scouting report, who will start at each safety for the Steelers and what does their depth look like at the position? Is safety a major draft need for the Steelers?

bugatti
My first thoughts when I hear his name is what he could have been had he stayed healthy. When healthy he was as good as they come. Problem is, that was only about half of his career.
rockmom
Troy Polamalu flat out played with 100% abandonment every play. Even if he wasn't 100%, he left everything he had on the field each game. One of my favorite NFL players to watch. This is sad, but I'm glad for him too.
uk#1fan
I think the Steelers draft Collins to try and replace him.
