He usually does it without 10 McD's also:thumb:

I don't think he has a choice, has to work with the players he can get to come play for him.

Tuff loss. Really thought he was going to make his 2nd free throw after the lucky bounce on the first attempt. Shooting woes showed in the 2nd half and Rozier could not get the ball in hole or get a call when going to the goal. I can live with his effort the dude played hard and kept us in the game with his defense. Good to see Blackshear go down swinging.

The Cards were haunted again by a long dry spell of not being able to put the ball through the basket. Even as hard as points were to come by in the second half, if they make one more free throw, they are heading to Indy. This may have been one of Pitino's best coaching job's since Providence. Struggling to score most of the year, and losing Jones late in the regular season, he was able make a strong run and almost got to the final four.

Although I hate to see the Cards lose, I can't bring me to be unhappy with the way the season ended...in an OT game, fighting till the end, in the Elite 8! All I really dared to hope at the beginning of the tournament was that we didn't lose in the first round. And we didn't. The rest has been icing on the cake. As the season progressed, I felt it was POSSIBLE we could get into the tournament, but not PROBABLE. We far surpassed my personal expectations.

It was an unusually challenging year for the Cards, but they acquitted themselves quite respectably in their first year of the ACC and overall. Can't wait till next season!

LOVE those Cardiac Cards!

In all fairness, Pitino did a great job this year. Cards were not on paper one of the 8 beat teams in the country but they still made it this far.

However the same could be said for Izzo too.

No matter how you rank them Coach K, Cal, Pitino and Izzo are tough to beat as the four best coaches in the game.

It seemed to me that the Cards were a couple of players short of being a real contender, but the ones they had got them all so close.

Pretty much agree. They lacked a true knock down shooter, and they lacked a consistent presence at the five spot. Add those two players and I believe they have a more successful season.

Crazy to think how spoiled we are not being satisfied with an Elite 8, even after the year Louisville has had.

Sounds almost like KY fans. :lol2:

It's true. We are spoiled around here. Louisville had no business in the Elite 8. I was happy after they got out of their first round game, but even with low expectations it's like " Man, I wish they could have won just one more game to make the Final Four."

Both are true. He looks selfish, and is a little selfish, but there are so few options around him it makes him look worse than it is. A few more passes on dribble drive would get others involved AND not allow them to collapse on him.

Maybe it is not your thing, but the Baseball Cards are putting together a very good season. Swept Ga. Tech this weekend at Jim Paterson Stadium. Given their recent past runs to Omaha, if you like baseball you should follow them.

Easter weekend in Charlottesville should be a good test!

Baseball Cards are having a really good season thus far.

And, completely overlooked, the Swim and Dive team took home the 2015 NCAA Championship.

Missing pieces from this team -

A - Luke Hancock / Kyle Kuric as a major threat & knock down shooter at the 3

B - depth to allow pressure defense for 40 minutes

C - Gorgui was at least some threat to score at the 5

That said, they performed way above any reasonable expectations. Snider came into his own and showed he can be a PG with a scoring threat next year. Harrell had glimpses of greatness (1st half) and long stretches where he showed he still needs to improve (2nd half). Rozier was aggressive to the point of frenzy. Gill tried to force his game to match his Sweet 16 boost instead of letting the game come to him. Aaron -- well, let's hope he improves greatly over the summer and buys in to what it will take to be a contributor for Pitino. Mangok, Onuaku, Mahmoud, Stockman, Johnson - how much better can they get before next year? Not sure what Pitino is bringing in for next year, but that is some decent talent to start with. Very raw, but upside.

I suspect Rozier will go if he projects as a 1st rounder. If not, maybe he stays. I hope he stays, not only for selfish reasons. I think he would get much better with another year under Pitino and better prepare himself for a longer pro career. Easy for me to say.

Blackshear -- all the kid ever did wrong was come in with very high expectations. If he did not start at that level, people would be thrilled with his contribution in all aspects on and off the floor. He went out at the very highest level competing, performing great and LITERALLY bloodied but unbowed. While it has been frustrating, it has been great watching him for the past 4 yrs.

Oops...I think I'm wrong about the Swim and Dive team. Misunderstood a Facebook post. I'll look for more info that is correct.
