Clinton's hard drive wiped clean

I agree. I think she has the Nixon psyche that she will use the office more to seek revenge on her opponents than to govern.

Somewhat ironically, her firing from the Watergate committee against Nixon was related to his right to council. She lied and deliberation and maliciously withheld information showing the precedent was for a person to have right to council for upcoming actions. He report lied and indicated that no precedent existed. She got caught - by Democrats and was fired and not given a letter of recommendation.

Her career started with lying and fraud. Appropriate bookends?

Can any democrat on here please explain to me why you want her as the next POTUS

As always, it depends on the opposition.

While I don't agree with them I don't fault her supporters. The republican's have to put up somebody better and while I think she is the most ruthless of the bunch, I don't know that she is any more dishonest that the field. She has just had more time to have her dishonesty exposed. I couldn't give a rat's behind for anyone out there right now.

What a sad commentary...

What a sad commentary...

Indeed

I really believe that the average Dem is more concerned about keeping the party in power regardless of how inept or dishonest a candidate he or she may be. Party is all to them.

True.

As always, it depends on the opposition.

Sad but true.

Change is not always a bad thing . Quit supporting your crooks and come over and support our crooks ( to paraphrase my father from 1985 ) .

As always, it depends on the opposition.

So you would rather back a proven crook and liar instead of someone, who may be more honest, just because of party affiliation?

As Guru said, this is sad.

I took it as Pops saying that if the opposition is just as shady and crooked then it depends on that. Not party affiliation.

Not at all.

Some are crooks most are liars to some degree. Comes with the territory. The time when career politicians were true statesmen has long, long since passed.

All other things being equal, I;m gonna vote for the candidate whose platform most closely mirrors my own beliefs. Anti-war being by far and away the most important.

Believe what you will, I am not a knee-jerk party line voter. I vote D most often for sure but have voted R and I as well. Depends on the candidates, not the capital letters after their names.:thumb:

And this differs with the Republicans?

And this differs with the Republicans?

I really believe that both major parties are in the business of achieving/retaining power, pretty much at all costs. I see no fundamental difference on that score on one side of the aisle versus the other.

Come on now, Pops. You know conservatives are the smartest and most compassionate people on the planet. They have way more honor and integrity than any democrat could ever have. When you look up honor and integrity in the dictionary the definition is conservative. They have never been a party trying to achieve unlimited power. They simply know and want what is best for all of us. That's always been their agenda. That's what they want. Everybody knows this. Come on now, Pops.
