March 26, 201511 yr Hearing breaking news now that the German plane that went down in the French Alps was intentionally flown into the ground.
March 26, 201511 yr Too early to tell if it is terrorism or not. Could be a lone terror, a suicidal man, a terrorist organization, even a jilted lover, and they may never really know. As with anything, they have to investigate and we need to wait until they do that to make judgments. Really tragic.
March 26, 201511 yr Co-pilot locked pilot out of cockpit according to this. http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/pilot-reportedly-locked-out-of-cockpit-before-plane-crashed-into-alpine-mountainside/2015/03/26/460770d8-d38c-11e4-a62f-ee745911a4ff_story.html?tid=sm_tw
March 26, 201511 yr Terrorism is a political act with an intent to force others to do something. If it is a suicidal pilot crashing the plane for non political reasons, it isn't terrorism.
March 26, 201511 yr Doesn't matter either way. It was likely a suicidal pilot who acted incredibly cowardly and murdered 150 people. Still invoked terror and I'd consider it terrorism.
March 26, 201511 yr 100% terrorism. No question about it. Who do you think the co-pilot was alligned with? Do you think he is ISIS related?
March 26, 201511 yr Who do you think the co-pilot was alligned with? Do you think he is ISIS related? No idea. Doesn't have to be aligned with anyone for it to be a terroristic act.
March 26, 201511 yr Who do you think the co-pilot was alligned with? Do you think he is ISIS related? That would be my guess
March 26, 201511 yr No idea. Doesn't have to be aligned with anyone for it to be a terroristic act. Disagree. Columbine was not a terrorism. The Mass. elementary school mass murder was not terrorism. The Colorado theater murders were not terrorism.
March 26, 201511 yr Disagree. Columbine was not a terrorism. The Mass. elementary school mass murder was not terrorism. The Colorado theater murders were not terrorism. That's cool. Don't really care if you agree or not.
March 26, 201511 yr That's cool. Don't really care if you agree or not. So words and definitions are unimportant when reporting on events in the news? We're fine with people calling any act of violence terrorism if they so choose?
March 26, 201511 yr Terrorism is commonly defined as violent acts (or the threat of violent acts) intended to create fear (terror), perpetrated for a religious, political, or ideological goal, and which deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (e.g., neutral military personnel or civilians).
