Ryle Raiders Schedule 2015

But for sports I was under the assumption that the KHSAA has the final say in eligibility. You may be able to switch schools but ruled ineligible for sports. This just happened to the kid from Boone trying to go to Cov Cath. He could switch but not play due to the ruling by KHSAA.

If it is the situation I am thinking of,, it was my understanding that he could switch but would have to sit out one year for athletics. With him being a senior,, that was the reason of the return to the original school.

I believe it gets sticky when the student/athlete transfers schools (or attempts) but does not move residence.

Let's get back to discussing the schedule and the upcoming season on this thread :thumb:

I would love to see O'Hara come out to Scott... Great kid and family. Lord knows Scott could use him at basketball next season with Ohmer . But in all seriousness, he will probably play Wr at Ryle . Good luck to the young man !!!

Yes, the O'Hara's are a great family. Talked with father O'Hara many times while watching Boone soccer. His older son played for Boone and graduated in 2014. He also played Boone football as kicker and punter but his main sport was soccer. Very talented kid. Glad my son got to play with him.

So how does the younger O'Hara go to Ryle? His mother works for the Boone County school system. If you work for the school you can send your child to Boone, Ryle, Cooper, or Conner.

There are other players on Ryle's team that live in the Boone County school system (I know of one for sure). I am not sure how this family finagled that since neither parent works for the school system (as far as I know). There may be a factor that I don't know. Somehow they worked it out. Another Boone kid goes to Conner and his older brother played at Boone. This is not unheard of. Some people don't have a problem with this.

It is a pet peave of mine. I'll get over it (as soon as my last child graduates).

Sorry for hijacking the thread. I just wanted to set the record straight. I'll drop it now.

Who will start on Ryles O-line this year beside Chase Ross?

Seen the boys at spring practice yesterday. The passing game looked as sharp as I've seen it. Most of the kids have been working hard in the weight room and it showed up in the size gains. We have speed and size matchups all over that will cause fits for teams this year. This may be the best Ryle team yet.

Who will start on Ryles O-line this year beside Chase Ross?

I would imagine the left side will be Chase Ross (T), Jacob Hiles (G) and Collette ©. Not sure who will be on the right side. Any thoughts?

Chase is a big boy and very athletic.

How strong will that O-line be? I'm hearing conflicting reports:no:

They will be small expect Ross who is 280 pounds.

I would say strong, athletic, and nasty. Not huge, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

O-line size deficiencies can be overcome by the proper schemes. Up to a point anyway.

Agreed. I will take lean, strong and athletic over big and slow any day.
