Guy Morris (Baylor) and Dean Hood (Wake Forest) at the Rock today!

Featured Replies

Guy Morris head coach at Baylor and Dean Hood defensive coordinator at Wake Forest was at Rockcastle County's last spring practice of the year today. They watched OT/DL Brad Durham participate in drills, scrimmage. Morris offered Brad with a scholarship after seeing his ability. Congrats to him and to these coaches for getting into this part of the state and seeing the talent that is possessed here.:thumb:

Yes. He will be visiting Ohio State's combine as well as others in the next 3 weeks.

Sounds like a real "blue chip" athlete and football player. I got on this thread because of the mention of Morris. I still get  every time I think of Barnhart not giving him and his assistants the raises that they wanted to stay at U.K.. Morris had the program on the right track and imo would have brought the Cats back to respectability and beyond. Morris was a class act and well respected by his players. IMO he was definately the man for the job instead of Barnharts buddy "yes man" / washed up pac 10 has been! I would like to see this kid at U.K. bc I support the Cats no matter what. If he decides not to go with U.K. I certainly hope that Morris gets him at Baylor. I apologize for going on about Brooks, Just that not keeping Morris really :fire: my butt. Good luck to B. Durham no matter where he decides to go.

I loved Morris and thought he seemed like a real down to earth guy that I could see players really wanting to play for, but questioned his ability to recruit. I know his hands were tied by the probation, but he didn't get too many solid recruits with what schollys he did have. The classes he did recruit really didn't have much talent to brag about. He was left with some talent and made the most of it IMHO. I liked him as a person and the way his players played for him, but the recruiting seemed to be his one achilles heel.

I hope Durham does become a Wildcat, but if he doesn't, I wish him luck whereever he chooses to play!

Go BIG BLUE! Hope Brad Durham will go to UK. I understand that UL and UC are also interested in a big way.

That kid is a beast....Good luck to Brad Durham!!!! I do believe that this kid is a legit D-1A prospect I just hope he goes some where else beside UK. Well that's unless they hire a new head coach after next year.

I'm thrilled to death to hear this for Brad. Wherever he chooses to go he'll definitely be eligible right away. This kid has a good head on his shoulders. If i'm not mistaken, he's got close to, if not a 4.0 GPA.

Coach Morriss and Coach Hood are both class men.

Maybe Hood but I'm not sure about Morris.

According to what your opinion what a class man is. In my opinion, both are class men.

I don't know how you measure class - but in my book, Morris is all class - should be at U.K. right now. That is your opinion though.

The first hand dealings I had with Morriss, he always treated me with class.

Coach Hoodie!!! Great GUY and GREAT COACH. He will have a Head Coaching Job one day.

Last Thursday Alan Cutler had Morris on his radio program. Morris said he still loves KY. Vacationed last year at Lake Cumberland and will be at the Derby this weekend. His wife and he still may retire in Kentucky. Barnhart has made some good hires, but he would have been better off to left the football program alone. They would have played in a bowl Lorenzen senior year. Lastly.....it wouldn't suprise me when Petrino does leave Louisville. Mr. Jurich gives Guy a call??!!
