For just a regular game, I like Augusta best.

The Fieldhouse during Regional Tournament time is really hard to beat.

This.

Henry County HS during the 8th region is a treat. This is the 53rd year the 8th region has been held at the Roy L Winchester Gymnasium - the longest streak any region tourney has been held in one place.

It has an "old high school fieldhouse" feel about it, with the horseshoe design, and seating for about 5500-6000. Love it.

Anyone have any pictures of this^?

This is about as good as I can do. From the Courier-Journal in 2012.

The Sportscenter in Owensboro, AWESOME!

Augusta is too small and cramped for me. But that's just me.

What do you mean, small?! :lol2:

I like Marshall County's gym.

That's a good one!

One of these days I'm gonna make it to the A-town gym.

Is the court regulation length? I'm guessing yes, but the perspective in the photo has me wondering.

Clay County.

Hard to beat a packed house in Bangchester. Clay County's got a very nice, huge gym. Big enough that everyone who wants in will get into a split session regional semi and I don't think they'd have to turn anyone away.

It's regulation size but if you want to park close to the school you probably need to show up during last period so you can get a seat and a parking spot.

Wait....in all of your years, you have never been to a game there? Growing up it the concession stand was dubbed "the best in the 10th" because you could buy literally anything there! I'm shocked that you've never been there. You'll have to get Randy Parker to take you there one day.

It doesn't feel like 84 feet. I'm going with no, mostly because of where the coaches boxes are (or are supposed to be) and the balance of the floor.

I am huge fan of Augusta, one of the best overall concession stands in the 10th. For the Region, sorry A-town fans, I'm a Fieldhouser.....like a whole 'nother city.

I was disappointed that The Fieldhouse didn't have a better concession for the games Saturday. Missed revenue stream in my opinion....could have done with some nachos during the games :sorry:

I could have done with some popsicles or ice cream at the Fieldhouse on Saturday. Anything to cool me off!

Love that place but turn the fans up, please!

Love traveling to Augusta as well! Top notch concessions and you are up close and on top of all the action on the court!

Along with all the choices at the Augusta concession stand you can watch the game while you are up there on the televisions mounted on the walls. The popcorn is good but there was a time when it was really good. AHSPanther23 can back me up on that.

Believe me, i plan on it.

Fieldhouse at regional tourney time for sure, but I'm biased.

To clarify.

Many gyms are newer. Some are "nicer". A couple even seat more people.

But The Fieldhouse at tourney time is spacial.

Exactly. And another thing that helps it be so special is that you get the crowds there. You have to get there early!! Other venues at this time of year just don't fill up like the Fieldhouse. And the home court advantage argument has gone out the window as a result of 2 of the last three seasons.
