Say Something Good about a Republican

Featured Replies

I am calling out our left leaning friends on BGP and seeing if they have the ability to make any kind of a positive comment about a Republican. Can you do it? Is there one Republican you can say good things about?

I will start another thread for the Republicans and ask them to do the same.

Jeb Bush has always struck me as the most intelligent of the Bush family. I think in theory he's probably a centrist Republican, but unfortunately, that isn't the formula to winning the GOP nomination these days. Still, I'd rather see him in the White House as opposed to a novice like Walker or a firebrand like Perry.

I think Republicans as a whole have a better "business sense" than left leaning individuals (including myself).

I like that Rand Paul works tirelessly regarding his very real concerns over certain aspects of the "War on Terror" first started by President Bush and continuing unabated (and in some cases aggravated) by President Obama. I share many of those concerns.

It's a bit of a funny situation since Rand Paul's victory in that 2010 primary was the moment I decided to finally switch my listed affiliation from Republican to Democrat after being on the fence about it for a couple years.

I find John Boehner to be sincere, honest, and sensible.

...Oh... and I think that he has good taste in neck ties.

And he keeps a nice orange tan to match those ties.

I concur on all accounts.

This. Minus the "including myself" part. :D

I support their "Right to Work" thinking. I am not so sure they have a better "business sense" because I am not sure what that means. I think it is an individual idealogy.

Of all the presidents since I've been of voting age (since the early 80's), George Bush Sr. is the one that seems to be a genuinely nice person.

I don't really remember Carter well enough to know if that applies to him as well but I think it could.

I think Bert had great taste in weapons.

If I need extra fire power I know I can depend on @Run To State. If we need a bunker in sure with the fire power the both of us can bring that @mountain ref will let us in. :)

My father is going to roll over in his grave, but I think Reagan was an outstanding President and as the years go on, he gets better and better.

Bonus: He's a fraternity brother, but I'm not his age or errr, what age he would be if he were still alive.
