Mason County 77 Augusta 40 (39th District finals)

Featured Replies

Ok, Mason County, enjoy that district champion trophy, enjoy your reign atop our district but don't get too comfortable, Augusta's coming back for it next year. Never let it be said that Augusta doesn't share!!! :lol2::lol2::lol2:

BTW, the Royals were as advertised last night. They are the top team in this region and when they took flight in the 3rd quarter they looked very impressive. They will be a tough out in next week's regional tournament. I'm sure they'll have their eye on that Pendleton/Harrison game tonight since those two played them the closest of the teams in the field. Best of luck to both teams next week!!

We aren't going to win the district title every year. But we want it back next year.

Could very well be. The more the merrier.

Umm. The all-time series is 30-2 in favor of Mason County? You win twice and all of a sudden you think you run the district? Cmon mannnnnnn. It's like homeless_camel said, that was Mason County's 36th District Championship.

Never said we run the district and I'm very well aware of the all time record. But at the same time I feel confident about the team we have coming back next year.

Still have to replace 2 valuable seniors. What about when the class of 16 is gone?

How good is Mason County? It seems they are really coming on strong. Are they a legitimate contender for the state championship?

10th Region - yes

State Title - no

The past two years, you'd have thought Augusta destroyed the hearts of everyone in Mason County.... Even on this forum, I've seen where people referred Augusta as a "demon". It's honestly quite comical that you beat someone twice and it becomes called a "rivalry" according to some Mason County posters.

36th District Title? That is pretty nice, considering it's Mason's to lose each year.

Not really convinced of this^ either.

FYI, those Mason County posters weren't only for Augusta, they were for everyone who had been calling the student section rude and everything else on social media. They also never said anything about MC-Augusta being a rivalry because I made them! :) Augusta didn't destroy the hearts of Mason Co. either, just made them respect the fact that District wasn't going to be handed to them.

We'll deal with that when it comes. At Augusta you have to rebuild sometimes and we just might have to then. But until that time comes we are contenders. It's taken a long time for Mason County to realize that there is a school just 20 minutes down the road that they have to take seriously. That won't always be the case as seen on Thursday night but, while we are in the conversation, and we will be next year, you're going to have to deal with us.
