Mat Latos Speaks Out About The Reds Clubhouse

Featured Replies

The answer is obviously yes. I'm sure he thinks it is a well kept secret, but I've heard the same story from three different people that would know if something like that did happen...

They all think it's a well kept secret. He's not the only married player there that has been "serviced".

One young lady was snapping pictures of them hanging out and even posted one to Instagram. :ohbrother:

I like how some of the Reds players have responded. Just wish it was a few months into the season. Little things like that can fire a team up. This team though? I don't know.

One more reason to hate Miami.

Who was it on here arguing with me when I said this freak show is glad to be out of Cincy and we're glad he's gone, yeah you were wrong.

Hopefully it leads to a better clubhouse, looks like we have some leaders joining the team so that is encouraging. Team is talented, just needs something to get it going.

Talking about Dallas or Mat? haha!

fox19Joe: Brayan Pena: "Our team chemistry is amazing...there is no weakest link. The one that was weak is no longer here."

fox19Joe: Brayan Pena on Latos: "I'm upset. I lost all respect for that guy...it was sorry. They can fine me, it's America...I can say what I want."

Ouch. If the Reds clubhouse wasn't united before, it sure seems to be now.

Im hoping theres a brawl in the first Marlins vs Reds game. Tensions will be high.

That would be awesome. Sadly, I don't think there's a position player on the Reds with enough attitude to start something. Maybe Byrd?

Would love to see what would happen if Latos plunked him his 1st time up. :lol2:

Sure there are...

1. Homer walks out to the mound (when Latos is up to bat" with a rope in hand.

2. Chapman starts a game Latos is pitching (yes I said Chapman Start a game) just to buzz on past his head. Or heck just plunk him in the back one time at 103. That should end the issue right?

The bad thing is he's taking a lot of heat for saying he might have been rushed back too early from his knee when I actually think the Reds have for sure rushed back guys way too fast from injury. Votto in 2012 for sure re-injured himself rehabbing and has had struggles ever since. Bruce probably came back too quick last year and had his worst year ever. Marshall has been MIA. There are more on that list too.

^ It is possible they got hurt again or didn't rehab properly. Meso said they held him back a lot longer than he wanted last year with both his injuries.

Off the field, I've never really cared for Latos. On the field, though, he was (is) a competitor. He was always the first pitcher to stick up for his teammates & bean somebody else. I like that type of attitude on the mound.

With that said, he certainly seems to have burned some bridges. Good riddance...

Then i'm sure he will understand the beaning from his former teammates that is coming.

I'll agree with the bolded. Honestly, I'm thinking I would have kept the 27 year old over Cueto.
