Kremcheck is widely considered a great surgeon. Doesn't mean they get the rehab right. Also, there are countless managers and coaches in every sport named best coach of the year that are fired a couple years later or we realize they actually suck but their players were good to great. Not all people that win awards are great.

 

 

Nor are all people who complain about healthcare exactly model patients. First Latos is complaining that the Reds medical people are holding him back, then he complains that they rushed him back. Which is it? I don't know the guy but knowing the type tells me he likely didn't follow protocol, didn't do the necessary personal work outside the monitored rehab at the Training facility, and probably didn't share critical information on pain, stiffness, etc. Again, I don't know him, but I do know rehab and it's more than what they do at the facility. The guy seems like a tool in my opinion.

So you can tell if a guy who earns a better living by being healthy, was arbitration eligible and one year from his huge payday didn't follow his rehab plan b/c of the type of person you think he is watching baseball games? Interesting.

Don't "know" a thing for sure. But I suspect that to be the case regardless of contract, and it is only an opinion. You might also check out his history before his stint with the Reds as well. Now THAT is interesting.
