I love englands strength. As far as lines go, I can only comment on Cooper's who is returning one of the best linemen in Marcus Watson and E Smith who dominated last year on both sides of the ball on the line. Cooper has one of the best line coaches in the area and they always come

ready to play even if they are going against bigger lines. I believe they may be returning most if not all of their starters on the line.

Line play is more important than the RB's. Anyone can run through open holes.

Powell will have a real good line. At least three lineman that are starters stand over 6'4. 3 Seniors and 2 Sophomores on the Oline this year. All big and athletic.

Has Powell committed to a school yet or is he still weighing his options?

Do they know about his 5.08 40 he ran at the combine? Not bad for a lineman, oh sorry, I meant running back.

 

It's one thing to blindly support your guy, but when you start directly calling out kids you have crossed the line. Grow up, you're talking about a freaking HS kid dude.

 

We are blessed to have a lot of really good ones, would be hard fought to find a better combined group in one area. Abernethy at HC is a really good one too. Had virtually no OL but kept battling. Stringer at Beechwood had 1300 yds and 28 tds and split carries with a senior. Arnold kid at Holmes is a beast on both sides.

 

IMO from a college viewpoint it's Smith, England, and Armstrong in that order. Don't think England is a college tailback, but he's too big and too talented. He will play somewhere. He looks like a LB to me.

I agree!! There is NO reason to call out another kid to build your own kid up. Btw this is a great post IMO.

That is accurate HB. Cooper did graduate Shelton and Delph who started at center and guard, but there was a solid 6 man rotation on the line last year so one of those spots have already been filled. They return Smith who was hurt after game 3 last year, and both of their big tackles Watson and Roksvag return to anchor the line. Cordell has gotten stronger and faster and that should be a fun running game to watch!

Agreed, I can't remember when we had so many really nice running backs in the area. Will be fun to follow them this year.

Saw Cameron Barrett and Dillon Powell at the Highlands track meet and both have gotten bigger and faster since end of football season. Anyone worried about Dillons speed should rest easy after what I witnessed this evening.

 

Looking forward to watching both of this young men on the gridiron, as well as, many others discussed earlier. The talent pool will be rich in NKY this fall! :thumb:

I will have the opportunity to see 3 of the 4 top backs live this year, looking forward to it!

There are so many good backs , in the northern ky schools this season . I am excited to get the opportunity to see both Powell and Smith play in person finally. I have gotten to see Armstrong, and I was impressed. I like what Lloyd is bringing in the backfield and ofcourse Scott Eagles won't be to shabby at the run offense as well !! Can't wait for a fun season , Good luck to all these guys.

I agree !!! I forgot to even mention Barrett, I actually will see him in person as well , as Scott picked up Dixie on the schedule with the others I had mentioned.. Plenty of talent in nky for sure
