Thank you, local snow plow man...

...for dumping all of my neighborhoods snow in front of my drive way this morning in a 2 1/2 foot high, 15 foot wide wall that an M1 Abrahams tank couldn't get out of. Hey, I know those guys work long and hard in weather like this, but come on man, you made it 10 times worse for me today than it was yesterday.

I live at the main entrance of our subdivision, when you turn into it you are looking directly at my house across from the stop sign and can go left or right to proceed into the development. Well some how they deposited all the accumulated snow on the plow, FROM BOTH DIRECTIONS, directly in front of my driveway. I mean, they couldn't have done it better had they done it on PURPOSE! Last thing I wanted to do was ding through a wall of snow and ice this morning just to get out of my drive way when I had almost no problem getting out yesterday morning.

Lawildcat, you weren't driving a snow plow per chance this morning in Anderson County were you?:rage:

No plow of any kind in our subdivision yet. Par for the course.

Getting ready to start shoveling our triple-wide driveway in earnest.

Big, you need to call your city.

The couple of times I called my city on similar issues they responded immediately and took care of the issue.

Consider yourself lucky that you have plows at all! Come on out to the Compound but make sure you've got the chains on your tires!

I waited until late yesterday afternoon to shovel my drive. Took me about an hour, drive is also a big time slope so that adds to the fun. I cleared about a foot into the street. While I was out there the plow made a couple of passes with no issues. At some point after he comes by closer and throws snow about a foot deep 4 feet back into my drive way.

No plows yet. I shoveled out about 4 feet into the road so in the event that the plowman eventually makes an appearance, there won't be that much for him to throw back into the driveway.

And I'm tired. A big bowl of cauliflower and bacon chowder and a manwich helped. Time to take a shower. Amazing how much you sweat even in cold weather when shoveling snow.

And it may have been "light and fluffy", but 8 inches of the stuff still has some weight in the shovel.

1. Roads are STILL bad, quit tying up 911, Sheriff's Office and Police calling and asking, "How are the roads?"

2. Yes there are snow plows out, if your road hasn't been plowed yet...it's on the list.

3. Sorry the snow plow that went down your street piled up snow at the end of your drive way. Could be worse, you could be on #2's road.

4. Don't pester the US Postal Service, there are some places even they can't get to today.

5. If you bought a bunch of cereal, and now realize that it's high in fiber and you didn't buy extra toilet paper...well that's just funny.

You need to be careful.

Please be careful when shoveling snow! Take breaks and don't exert too much energy!

2 people in NKY died yesterday while shoveling snow.

To #3...I would assume they didn't plow my street as to shove my hard work back into my drive way.

There's a difference between a small ridge of snow at the end of your drive after the plow passes and depositing EVERYTHING you have built up on the plow in front of someone's drive way...twice.

True...I wrote that before I saw your story today.

You need to be careful.

I appreciate the concern. But ol' papa's got a little more get up and go than he had this time last year.

Driveway is shoveled, paths to the doors shoveled and treated, cars cleaned off and ready to go. Plow came through an hour ago and the mail got delivered today.

Woo-hoo!

Just finished shoveling my driveway.

I hate winter and I hate the snow. My body is already hurting.

Call Mr. Plow, that's my name; that name again is Mr. Plow!
