Final

Way to go, Eagles!

Big time.

LCA Clinches First Seed and Bye for the District and Lexington Catholic will be the 2 seed facing either Lafayette or Dunbar.

LCA Clinches First Seed and Bye for the District and Lexington Catholic will be the 2 seed facing either Lafayette or Dunbar.

Huge deal too.

Doc, How comfortable would you feel going in against Dunbar or Lafayette if you were Catholic. Which one would you want?

Statement win for LCA and great position in the District. That 2/3 game should be a doozy.

The seed doesn't matter when you're taking about LCA, LexCath, Dunbar and Lafayette.

Game has zero bearing on who each plays. As far as an advantage is concerned it is still a coin flip! LCA is 1 seed and catholic is the 2. It will be a coin flip on Saturday to determine the 3 and 4 seeds between PLD and Lafayette. Not sure who LCA or Catholic would hope for in the draw but tonight's outcome won't effect the coin flip. (Only advantage would be if Tate's Creek pulls a monster upset in the 4/5 game but that is highly unlikely.

Lexington Catholic had no answer for LCA's size as LCA out-rebounded Catholic 43-19. Neither team was particularly good on offense tonight. The game was won by LCA's defense and rebounding. Matt Rose 11 points and 16 rebounds. Drew Trimble 11 points and 9 rebounds.

Last I saw he was starting and I believe he runs the PG spot. He has a bright bright future.
