February 10, 201511 yr How about just "people"? How about NO! Because regular people DO NOT act like this.
February 10, 201511 yr How about NO! Because regular people DO NOT act like this. How about involved parties or perpetrators.

Would you much rather me called them clients or just EDIT people? Your complete statement was "Did you see the clients that were involved?". So you made judgement based on what you saw on the video. Then you mention "( In city )". So you are trying to add something that really add no value to the situation... Could happen in the country as well. Edited February 11, 201511 yr by Randy Parker
February 10, 201511 yr I don't agree at all with the victims team getting banned. Comes to a point where we have to realize we are all human, if you can admit to yourself that you'd have stood there as that young man's teammate and done nothing, then you are indeed in a class all by yourself. I'd like to say "good for you", but then again, I almost feel sorry for you.

February 10, 201511 yr Watching the video I'm surprised either team would be banned for the rest of the season. The adults did a great job of breaking it up and getting the kids separated. I even saw a mother pulling her kid away all by herself. The cops did a good job of restoring order and I didn't notice any serious fights breaking out anywhere. I can see suspending both teams for a a game or two but to call off the whole season for both teams is too much. I noticed the referee back off and just watch and I saw the cheerleader just drop the game ball and a kid picked it up and shot it at the end of the video. :lol2:

I would listen to the argument from the team that was protecting their own player , but we CAN NOT wait til someone is seriously injured or maimed during a HS free for all before the brakes get slammed on and slammed on hard and fast . Yes , these two are being made examples of , but making examples out of situations WORKS . Good for the IHSAA . They do this to just another pair of teams or so and the foolishness will stop .
February 10, 201511 yr 23 in the white jersey pounded 2 different kids. After he beat the first one under the basket, he came around and dropped another kid from behind!

The whole team shouldn't be punished. You want to ban someone then ban the one throwing punches. I saw more people trying to stop it than trying to add fuel to the fire.
February 10, 201511 yr Both teams lose their season over one kid's stupid play? If I was the team that got fouled, I would appeal. One team was clearly the instigator, and you could make a case that the team that got fouled was defending their teammate who was down. Not fair to penalize a team for what fans do, unless there's a warning first. Kid who committed the foul screwed up. Season was ended because of teammates of both teams and fans rushing the court. They all screwed up. Not just the kid with the hard foul.
February 10, 201511 yr 23 in the white jersey pounded 2 different kids. After he beat the first one under the basket, he came around and dropped another kid. He deserves to be arrested after the police review the video and not allowed to ever be back on a HS basketball court if he is an underclassman.. Way beyond the game of basketball.
February 10, 201511 yr One thing that always intrigues me about these types of situations is having 18-year old seniors involved. How do the laws apply in those situations?

Still silliness to ban both teams for the rest of the season. If I am at a game and my kid is on the court and something like this happens I'm going to grab my kid and any other kids from the team I can and get them to the locker room.
