Agreed. Coach Pardue will be fine! Actually, I think this will work out for all parties involved.

Someone get on the phone to bring back the guy to win your only state championship!

A coach with proven winning credentials tied to the area somehow is needed for Mercer right now imo.

I think that would be a possibility.

If the Mercer admin. and fans are honest about their situation with themselves they will realize they need a proven winner that has head coaching experience. I think if they make a blunder with this hire their program could drop to a pretty low level. It is not all that strong at this time but Perry or Jaggers would immediately change that imo. I do understand that players win games but these two veteran coaches have been successful at the highest levels over a long period of time. Just my thoughts. I also believe each of these guys have close ties to the program with former players they coached already in the Mercer system. I could be off on that but I last heard there are some connections.

If Perry or Jaggers got the job, it will be smash mouth football.
