Someone told me that Somersets hitting facility burnt down yesterday. Anyone have any news about it?

 

Evidently one of the heaters malfunctioned and the building caught on fire. I'm out of town this week but I've been told it is being called a total loss.

Last I heard from Grundy was lost everything in the building. Waiting to see if the building is salvageable.

My preseason top teams:

 

1. Southwestern- Coach Eaton will have some momentum after a successful run last season

2. Garrard- Coach Lynn has a pretty solid rotation and a few legitimate sticks

3. West Jessamine- Always seem to have a decent team, although I will admit I don't know as much about them as in the past.

4. Boyle County- With Robbins and Coffey they will be hard to beat

 

A few sleepers may be Mercer, Danville, Somerset, and Lincoln...

Hate to hear about the facility, I hope the can recover nicely. I feel bad for the seniors that had to lose some quality practice time due to this tragic accident. I am sure Grundy had them doing something though.

Southwestern opens up 2-0 after beating Campbellsville 7-1 and Rockcastle 10-2 but look a little rough. A lot of signs missed and can tell not much field time.

Definitely Josiah Robbins, who is one of their best players. I'm not sure who else, although I'm guessing there are a couple.

Hey gchs...have you seen GC this year? I know you and I would love to see them take this region, but it sure would be hard to pick them since they've never won a region. I know GC is VERY experienced and deep. Can't wait to watch them this year.

I umpired that game. I talked to a couple of the Boyle kids during an injury timeout and they said that they had I think 4, 2 of which play a lot. I don't want to swear to that number but I believe that is what they told me.
